You hear that? It’s the sound of dominoes falling. Conservatives have finally achieved their fantasy of overturning Roe v. Wade. If you think they are now going to settle down with their guns and their hypocrisy, you are fooling no one but yourself.
Clarence Thomas specified that the supreme Court should “reconsider” a number of rulings including the one which struck down laws criminalizing gay sex. They are coming for us.

As the uncle of a bunch of nieces, that ruling scares me. As a human being, Clarence Thomas’ decision scares the shit out of me. I take comfort in the idea that a) using his reasoning to overturn Roe, Thomas’ own marriage could get ruled illegal, and b) his wife is going to get ruled illegal for her part in Trump’s insurrection. We have to get out there and vote as if our lives depended on it — because they do depend on it. (I’ll take model #3, and I can guess which finger Diane was using.)

I suppose we have to consider ourselves lucky that we lived through (and were part of) the Enlightenment of the USA. The speeding decline we’re watching hasn’t nearly hit bottom.
